Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Teachwink collects, why we collect it, who we share it with, and how you can ask us to change or delete it. Teachwink is an education business operated by Tehmasip Rahil in Karachi, Pakistan, offering O Level, A Level and IGCSE classes to students in Pakistan and the Gulf.

1.Information we collect

Information you give us

  • Registration and demo requests: your name, email address, WhatsApp number, level (O Level, A Level or IGCSE), exam session and subjects.
  • Payments: if you pay by bank transfer, the payment receipt you upload. We do not collect or store card numbers or bank login details.
  • E-book sign-ups: your email address.
  • Internship submissions: your name, email, phone number and the details of the opportunity you share.
  • Messages: anything you send us on WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook, email or phone.

Information collected during classes

  • Live classes are recorded so students can rewatch them. Recordings may include your name, voice, video (if your camera is on) and chat messages.
  • We keep basic records of attendance, progress and feedback you give about your teacher.

Information collected automatically on our website

  • Our website uses cookies and similar tools, including Google Analytics and Google reCAPTCHA, to understand how visitors use the site and to block spam. These tools may collect your device type, browser, approximate location and pages visited.

2.How we use your information

We use your information to:

  • reply to your questions and arrange demo classes
  • send you class links, timetables, reminders and important updates
  • enrol you in classes and confirm your payments
  • share your details with your assigned teacher so they can confirm your class (see section 4)
  • ask for your feedback so we can keep teaching quality high
  • improve our website and services
  • send you news about new batches or resources, which you can opt out of at any time

We do not sell your personal information.

3.WhatsApp messages and automated replies

We use the WhatsApp Business Platform, provided by Meta, to talk to students and parents. Some of our replies are automated, for example sending our timetable link, a sample lecture, or a class confirmation. You can ask to speak to a person at any point in the chat.

Messages sent through WhatsApp are also processed by Meta under WhatsApp’s own terms and privacy policy. If you no longer want messages from us, reply STOP and we will stop messaging you, apart from messages about classes you have already paid for.

4.Who we share information with

We only share what is needed, with:

  • Teachers: the teacher of the class you are joining receives your name, level, subject and class time. Teachers working with Teachwink agree not to use your details for anything other than teaching you.
  • Service providers: companies that help us run Teachwink, such as Meta (WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook), Google (email, forms, analytics, Meet), Zoom, and our website host. They process data on our behalf.
  • Legal reasons: if the law requires it, or to protect the safety of our students and staff.

Some of these providers store data on servers outside Pakistan or outside your country.

5.Students under 18

Most of our students are under 18. We expect a parent or guardian to be aware of, and agree to, their child joining Teachwink and sharing their details with us. Parents and guardians can contact us at any time to see, correct or delete their child’s information.

6.How long we keep information

We keep your information while you are a Teachwink student and for up to two years after your last class, so we can help with results queries, references or re-enrolment. Class recordings are kept for the duration of the course and exam session they belong to. Enquiries that do not lead to enrolment are deleted within one year. After these periods we delete or anonymise the information.

7.Keeping information secure

We limit access to student information to the people who need it, use password-protected accounts, and work with reputable service providers. No system is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.

8.Your choices and rights

You can ask us to:

  • tell you what information we hold about you
  • correct information that is wrong
  • delete your information
  • stop sending you updates or marketing messages

To do any of these, contact us using the details below. We will reply within 30 days.

9.How to delete your data

To ask for your data to be deleted, including data collected through our WhatsApp service, either:

  • email teachwink@gmail.com with the subject “Delete my data”, including your name and the phone number you used with us, or
  • send DELETE MY DATA to us on WhatsApp.

We will confirm once your data has been deleted. We may keep a record of payments where the law requires it.

10.Cookies

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some parts of our website, such as forms, may not work properly without them.

11.Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top shows when it was last changed. Significant changes will be announced on our website or by message.
